The Warehouse Associate is responsible for various warehouse activities as well as receive, input, sort, load, and unload products. The incumbent will organize stock, maintain inventory, and process, pack and ship orders ensuring that shipping schedules are met with attention to detail to ensure timely delivery and loss prevention.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Responsible for operating material handling equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking and counting merchandise using a forklift, and pallet jack
- Process, pack, and ship orders accurately
- Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
- Inventory cycle counting
- Operate adequate merchandise management tools (for example, forklift)
- Enter data in inventory and logistics software programs
- Meeting regulatory compliance requirements
- Perform data entry, merchandise scan-ins, and other required quality assurance steps that confirm the contents of each order while tracking inventory for the company
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Dependable daily attendance and work output
- Strong organizational work
- Detail-oriented outlook toward tasks
- Ability to operate an electric and manual pallet jack to move products
- Ability to work independently or in teams
- Good time management skills
- Additional certifications such as Forklift will be preferred
- Typing and record keeping skills necessary to provide accurate information for managers and supervisors regarding warehouse inventory
- Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as many warehouse items are cumbersome and heavy
- High School or GED required
- 1+ years of warehouse experience highly preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDSMust possess mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting and work with and around a variety of equipment, parts, and inventory, to operate a motor vehicle and forklift; strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium physical work; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio.
Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or scan gun. Positions in this classification may need to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach, to perform work. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment.
While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to various outdoor and indoor environments (i.e. general office, industrial complexes, food processing plants, semiconductor labs, clean rooms, etc., some of which can be hazardous). Temperature variances, high noise levels, and dusty environments may be encountered.
