About the RoleLocal Delivery Driver (Class B w/Airbrakes & Hazmat) (Open)
Deliver compressed gas cylinders safely and reliably to local and regional business partners from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company‑provided straight or box truck. Manage the flow of cylinders while building lasting customer relationships.
- Pay: $25 per hour
- Potential for quarterly bonuses
- Work schedule:

- Cylinder Handling
:
Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to internal and external customer locations. - Record Keeping
:
Accurately record deliveries and pick‑ups on a load manifest, obtain customer signatures, and collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders for refilling. - Safety and Compliance
:
Adhere to Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations (DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, OSHA). - Warehouse Support
:
Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.
- Valid TX Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License.
- Valid Medical Examiner’s Card.
- Hazmat & Airbrake certifications.
- At least one year of Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five years and a clean driving record (no more than two convictions or two at‑fault accidents in the last three years; or no more than one conviction and one at‑fault accident in the last three years).
In lieu of experience, a diploma from an accredited driving school and a minimum of one year of driving experience within the last five years may be considered. - Minimum age 21.
- Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
- Ability to routinely lift 25–75 lbs; occasionally lift 76–125 lbs with equipment.
- Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to eight hours; frequent bending required.
- Must be able to work occasional overtime.
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary safety credentials for customer site access.
- Proficiency operating heavy machinery (e.g., forklift).
