Truck Driver/Operations Support 3 (Holland, TX)

Under general direction, this role performs a variety of job responsibilities such as delivery of fertilizer and chemical products to customers from the Unit office, equipment and plant maintenance work, and fertilizer blending.

• Perform varied responsibilities such as equipment and plant maintenance including welding, pump and engine overhauls, painting, and general housekeeping; loading and delivering fertilizer and chemicals to customers; operating equipment to blend fertilizer; monitoring product application by calculating amounts, calibrating equipment, controlling application rates, and cleaning and storing equipment after application; receiving and unloading product and performing warehouse inventory and storage functions.
  
  Keep a clean, orderly vehicle and organize warehouse and yard materials.
• Ensure proper loading and operation of vehicles in compliance with DOT, OSHA and Hazmat regulations. Comply with all company and customer safety requirements.
• Assist with special projects, attend training sessions, provide back‑up when needed, and perform other work‑related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
• Promote and represent the Simplot brand to customers, employees and community as a best‑in‑class agricultural distributor, ensuring accurate, timely and safe product deliveries and, where applicable, product application.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 1+ years related experience and/or training.
• Knowledge of basic farm equipment and operation preferred.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in succession, e.g., blending products, loading a truck, and driving to a farm.
• Ability to accurately and safely operate heavy equipment such as a sprayer/applicator and semi‑truck and trailer.
• Proficiency with computer use, including Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook or mobile app; ability to learn and manipulate company software.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with management, team members and customers.

• CDL Class A License.
• Hazmat Endorsement.
• Tanker Endorsement.

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must be willing and able to work Ag Industry hours as seasonal needs dictate, which may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Position is not eligible for relocation.
