Principal Platform Engineer - Java

We have partnered with our client in their search for a Principal Platform Engineer. As a Principal Engineer/Tech Lead, you will play a critical role in modernizing and evolving SaaS platform. The team currently owns several monolithic applications that are in various stages of being transformed into a modern, API‑first architecture. Some applications are cloud‑based, and others remain on‑premise, offering a broad range of engineering challenges.

• Modernize platform components at different lifecycle stages
• Architect and build a high-quality, high-performance backend
• Diagnose complex system issues while accounting for data protection, reliability, and SRE best practices
• Model and influence engineering excellence across the team
• A key competency for this role is the use of AI to enhance software engineering speed and capability, as well as the ability to embed AI-driven flows directly into our products.
