Description
We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our team in our Westlake TX location.

MustHaves
- 7‑10+ years’ experience (need due to complexity of operational data space)
- Oracle, SQL, PLSQL
- Unix scripting
- Python for developing ETL data flows
- CI/CD – Jenkins, Cloud Formation templates, deployment experience
- AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, SQS, SNS)
- Kafka knowledge
- Large, federated data environment
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technology related field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
- Desire and ability to learn and implement new technologies
- Keen ability to see complex challenges from multiple perspectives, and leaning in to solve independently or with others
- Knowledge of how to effectively use multiple types of databases such as relational (Oracle, Postgre
SQL, etc.), No
SQL (Dynamo
DB, Elastic Search) and graph databases (Neptune, Neo4J, etc.) - Hands‑on experience building scalable, resilient, and cost‑effective data products (preferably on AWS and Snowflake)
- Programming or scripting using Unix, Python, Java, etc.
- Thorough understanding of data modelling and data integration patterns
- Experience in developing batch jobs (preferably on AWS event bridge, step function, S3, Lambda, EC2, ECS/EKS, etc.)
- Ability to schedule or orchestrate batch processes and workflows (Control M, Airflow, Argo, cron, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience developing, debugging, and tuning complex SQL statements, PL/SQL packages & procedures
- Experience developing ETL / ELT data pipelines
- Knowledge of messaging technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, SNS, SQS)
- Experience with Dev Ops or CI/CD pipelines using Maven, Jenkins, AWS CFTs, uDeploy, Stash, Ansible, etc.
- Experience managing testing, code deployment and release management process
- Ability to validate, monitor, and solve issues during development, testing, or in production
- Ability to work effectively in global teams distributed across geographic locations in an Agile way
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven knowledge of AWS via Associate, Professional, or Specialty Certification(s) – a big plus

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Westlake, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70.00 – $75.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
