The City of Lampasas is currently accepting applications for a W/WW Utility Distribution/Collection Technician.

Performs a variety of manual and machine‑assisted labor tasks related to the cleanliness, maintenance, repair, and installation of city water and wastewater facilities. Starting salary is $17.782/hour, DOQ, plus excellent benefits.

• Knowledge of: the safe operation of the equipment used and of the provisions of the Texas Motor Vehicle Code relating to the operation of such motorized equipment.
• Skill/Ability to: understand and follow instructions; learn to operate standard maintenance equipment; service and make minor repairs to water/wastewater system, applying safety standards to prevent hazards, tolerate outside working conditions, including exposure to adverse weather conditions.

• High school graduation, or its equivalent; plus at least one year of experience in utility services, including water and wastewater services.
• Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

• Valid Texas Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL) or the ability to obtain within 2 years.
• Ability to obtain a Class II Wastewater Collections license within 3 years.
• Ability to obtain a Class C Water Distribution license within 3 years.
