Description
Electrical Execution & Reliability
- Lead and perform corrective actions on high-voltage electrical equipment including breakers, fuses, transformers, and protection systems
- Identify and remediate panel, termination, conductor sizing, torque, and code compliance deficiencies
- Execute and oversee preventive maintenance (PM) on high and low voltage systems
- Lead grounding and bonding inspections, testing, documentation, and remediation
- Verify grounding system integrity across panels, skids, and facilities
- Support instrumentation power, signal circuits, and control wiring
- Coordinate isolations, testing, and re-energization with operations and engineering teams
- Interpret electrical one-lines, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, and hazardous area classifications
- Conduct detailed field walkdowns to define corrective action scopes
- Develop field-level cost estimates including labor, materials, and contractor support
- Support schedule development and outage planning
- Plan and manage daily and weekly crew loading
- Provide direct oversight to electricians, I&E technicians, and contract personnel
- Track labor hours, costs, and scope execution performance
- Identify cost or schedule risks and implement corrective measures
- Drive efficiency by bundling work and improving workface planning
- Enforce electrical safe work practices, LOTO, and energized work controls
- Lead JSAs and pre-task planning meetings
- Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and facility safety standards
- Work safely in Class I Division 2 hazardous locations
- Journeyman or Master Electrician certification required
- Minimum 10 years of electrical experience in industrial or upstream oil & gas environments
- Strong expertise in 480
VAC and 24
VDC systems - Experience with electrical corrective actions, upgrades, and reliability programs
- Strong knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and hazardous location standards
- Demonstrated experience leading field crews and managing electrical scope execution
- Experience in grounding and bonding programs
- Strong project management skills including estimating, scheduling, and cost control
- Proficiency with electrical diagnostic tools (IR camera, insulation tester, multimeter, etc.)
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and hazardous area classifications
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent climbing, bending, and working around energized systems
- Travel to various field facilities as required
