Location: South Padre Island
Join the Beach Waterpark team as a Maintenance Staff Member. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring our attractions, facilities, and equipment are safe, clean, and fully operational for our guests. This hands-on role involves daily inspections, routine repairs, and responding quickly to maintenance needs throughout the park. You will also be required to follow job instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections of waterpark rides, pools, and equipment
- Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions promptly
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities
- Assist with facility upgrades and installation of new attractions
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations
- Respond to urgent maintenance requests during operating hours
- Collaborate with operations and other departments for overall support
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- 1+ year experience in maintenance, construction, facilities, or a related field (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, climb ladders, and stand for long periods of time
- Experience with waterpark, pool, construction or amusement facility maintenance
- Electrical, HVAC, or plumbing certification (a plus)
- Familiarity with safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Must be available weekends, holidays, and during peak season (March - September)
- Early morning and evening shifts may be required
