Job Title: Mechanic I / II / III
Location: Midkiff, TX
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 5/2
- Mechanic I: $33.00/hr
- Mechanic II: $45.00/hr
- Mechanic III: $57.00/hr
The Mechanic I / II / III will support the maintenance and operation of compressor packages and related equipment. This role is responsible for executing preventative maintenance (PMs), supporting diagnostics and repairs, and providing operational feedback to ensure safe, reliable compressor performance. The position may also assist other field locations and mechanics as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Perform maintenance and repair activities on gas compressor packages and associated equipment
- Plan, organize, and execute preventative maintenance schedules
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues at an entry to intermediate level (based on classification)
- Support compressor operations and provide feedback on equipment performance
- Assist other mechanics or field locations when required
- Maintain compliance with all safety procedures and regulations
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools for documentation and reporting
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Preferred: OEM training, trade school, or comparable industry experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in compression processes, production, or related equipment
- Working knowledge of gas processes and compressor engines (Waukesha, Ariel, Caterpillar, etc.)
- Electrical troubleshooting experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical problem-solving skills
- Teamwork and effective communication (written and verbal)
- Initiative, planning, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong safety awareness and compliance mindset
Work Environment Requirements
- Operation of heavy equipment (crane, manlift)
- Standing up to 75% of the workday; sitting up to 25%
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs without assistance
- Frequent lifting up to 10 lbs; occasional lifting over 50 lbs
- Exposure to high-noise environments (>85 dBA) with PPE
- Outdoor work in extreme heat and cold
- Work in confined spaces requiring kneeling, crouching, crawling
- Must wear required PPE (FR clothing, hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR per company policy
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Tools will be provided by the company
