Fire Extinguisher Technician

N8 Fire & Safety is seeking an experienced and licensed Fire Extinguisher Technician to join our growing fire protection and life safety team. This position is ideal for a dependable professional with hands‑on experience in fire extinguisher inspection, maintenance, and compliance, strong customer service skills, and solid proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Licensing is REQUIRED for this role. Applicants must hold an active Fire Extinguisher Technician license (Texas or equivalent).

This is a field‑based position involving daily travel in a company vehicle, direct customer interaction, and accurate documentation of service work. Professionalism, technical accuracy, and strong organizational skills are essential.

• Inspect, service, maintain, and repair portable fire extinguishers in compliance with NFPA standards
  , state regulations, and manufacturer specifications
• Perform basic service and inspection of related life safety equipment, including:
• Emergency exit and emergency lighting
• Fire alarm components (as assigned)
• Accurately complete inspection reports, service tickets, and work orders using company systems
• Use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting, documentation, and daily communication
• Communicate clearly with customers, office staff, and management regarding schedules, findings, and job progress
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively at all job sites
• Safely operate a company vehicle and follow all driving and safety policies

• Prior experience as a Fire Extinguisher Technician or in fire/life safety services
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong working knowledge of NFPA codes and fire extinguisher servicing standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with basic hand tools
• Ability to work independently and manage daily service routes
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting (after state exam, if applicable)

• Active Fire Extinguisher Technician license (State of Texas or equivalent)
• Experience using field service or work order software
• Prior customer-facing or service-based industry experience

$20 - $26 hourly
