4 days ago. Be among the first 25 applicants. The Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing company fleet vehicles, including both diesel and gasoline engines. This position ensures that all vehicles and equipment are safe, reliable, and in proper working condition to support daily operations.

$22-$30/hr based on experience.

• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Maintain, diagnose, and repair diesel and gas engines in company fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify wear, damage, or safety concerns.
• Maintain detailed service records for all fleet vehicles.
• Follow all company safety policies and DOT regulations.
• Order, track, and organize parts and supplies as needed.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns, including occasional roadside or field repairs.
• Keep the maintenance area clean, organized and safe at all times.
• Communicate effectively with operations and drivers regarding vehicle safety.

• Strong knowledge of diesel and gasoline engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical components.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment effectively.
• Skilled in troubleshooting mechanical issues and identifying root causes.
• Basic computer skills for logging maintenance records and inventory.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or vocational training in automotive or diesel mechanics preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in vehicle maintenance and repair (diesel experience preferred).

• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Prolonged periods of standing, bending, kneeling, and working under vehicles.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
• Manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform mechanical tasks safely.
