Compensation$30.00 - $45.00+ per hour, based on experience
Job OverviewCaltron Security Services Corp. is looking for a skilled and motivated Security Systems Installation Technician to join our Field Operations team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality work, wants to grow into leadership or technical integration roles, and is excited to help protect clients through state‑of‑the‑art security systems. You'll be performing hands‑on installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of access control, surveillance, and alarm systems across the NY metro area.
Key Responsibilities- Interface with field operations managers and/or engineering design leads to layout the approach and implementation of each project
- Install, maintain, and service security systems including IP cameras, NVRs, card access systems, perimeter detection systems, gate operators, drone monitoring systems and alarm systems
- Perform on‑site troubleshooting of system components such as cameras, card readers, and gate operators
- Conduct testing and QA to verify system functionality and compliance
- Collaborate with electricians, safety inspectors, and client contacts to ensure project success
- Provide basic training to clients on system use and maintenance
- Drive company vehicles to job sites daily from company office
- Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance tasks, and service history
- Follow 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM shift with daily dispatch from the office
- Ideally 2 years of experience in field service or low‑voltage installation
- Senior experience, with a focused skill base on low voltage, CCTV, access control, gate operators install, etc.
- High School Diploma or GED required;
Technical School training preferred - Proficient in low‑voltage wiring, AC/DC theory, and troubleshooting using a multimeter
- Familiarity with systems from Axis, Honeywell, Genetec, Avigilon, Commend, or Napco
- OSHA 30 certification required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must own hand tools and PPE
- Comfortable working at heights using a van bucket lift
