Purpose:

Repair and Tool Technicians are responsible for evaluating and repairing small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical devices. They make equipment recommendations and ensure units are maintained. Technicians work in stores with Tool Rental Centers and in repair centers. In stores, they provide service to customers, including writing contracts and invoices, checking tool operation, and demonstrating proper use. They also manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the tool rental department.

In non-store locations, technicians ensure units are repaired, tested, cleaned, and returned to the store. They must have thorough knowledge of tools and manage the tool inventory effectively.
