The field sales representative will develop new sales opportunities throughout the Permian and Gulf Coast for positioning STEP's fleet of nitrogen pumping equipment and industrial services division.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute a sales strategy for STEP's nitrogen pumping equipment and industrial services (pipeline and facilities)
- Actively call on and establish, maintain and develop business, social and networking relations with the pipeline and plant managers working for the various providers in the area
- Analyze client needs and interests, and determine how STEP's products and services can best meet their needs
- Sell STEP's products and services and negotiate pricing and contract terms at the field level
- Gather intelligence on competitor activities and opportunities, and follow up with field level contacts for future work
- Recommend solutions to product related problems
- Facilitate the resolution of client issues, problems or complaints
- Develop the reputation of STEP as the most reliable, technical, innovative, and cost-effective nitrogen solution provider in the marketplace
- Participate in relevant trade shows, industry associations and client events
- Provide, and follow up on, qualified leads to the sales team to consistently improve their ability to break down barriers with prospective clients
- Provide timely and accurate 30/60/90-day sales forecasts
- Improve professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and/or participating in professional societies

QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 3 years field sales experience, and at least 5 additional years working specifically in pipeline, plant purging and plant turnarounds
- Strong technical understanding of nitrogen services and their applications in target client operations
- A demonstrated network of contacts within STEP's target client list
- Must possess valid driver's license

- Skilled at providing solutions to clients and not just selling products and services
- Maintains high level of professionalism in appearance, demeanor and image

- Proven ability to execute and deliver on sales goals and forecasts
