Job Overview
We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Fabrication Shop Sales Representative to join our team. This role is responsible for generating new business, managing customer relationships, and coordinating custom fabrication projects from quote to completion.

Responsibilities- Generate new sales through walk‑ins, calls, referrals, outside sales, and local networking.
- Meet with customers to understand fabrication needs and project scope.
- Prepare detailed quotes and proposals based on shop capabilities and material costs.
- Coordinate with fabrication team to ensure accurate timelines and deliverables.
- Follow up with customers on quotes and project progress.
- Track leads, sales activity, and job status in company software.
- Maintain strong knowledge of materials, pricing, and fabrication processes.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.
- Assist with scheduling and project handoff to production.
- Support marketing efforts and maintain repeat customer relationships.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years sales experience preferred (industrial, construction, or fabrication sales a plus).
- Basic understanding of steel fabrication and welding processes preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to read drawings and basic fabrication specs.
- Comfortable with quoting, margins, and cost structure.
- Organized and detail‑oriented.
- Proficient with computers and CRM/job tracking software.
- Willing to travel for outside sales opportunities should they arise.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Experience in structural steel, custom metal fabrication, or construction sales.
- Existing relationships with contractors, oilfield companies, or commercial clients.
- Knowledge of material pricing and job costing.
- Ability to measure and evaluate job sites when needed.
- Ability to assist customers in getting their vision on paper and into production.
