Full-Time Retail Sales Associate

$10.75 to $13.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process and the opportunity to earn unlimited commission above your hourly base rate.

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate works with the whole store team to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role involves greeting, engaging, and interacting with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions involving jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

Pay is an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity, with compensation influenced by location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise properly.
• Conducts sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items correctly and securely.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using good communication tools.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Completes all assigned training successfully.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist customers on the exterior of the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic math calculation skills.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Flexible to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers may earn 2‑8% commission based on the gross profit of their performance. More details are provided during the interview process.
