Overview
Retail Store Management Trainee to join our team. This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in fast-tracking into a Store Management position. Requires a minimum of 1 year retail management experience. Pay rate: $15.00 to $22.40 per hour.
Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% commission on transactions, which could average an additional $6.72 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

- Vacation:

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of Store Management experience. This role is accountable for day-to-day store operations and promoting a positive, productive environment. You will partner with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, manage customer relations/satisfaction, and set the tone for a customer-centric environment.
You will analyze store financial statements to ensure goals are met, commit to asset protection, promote the business, and target new customer acquisitions. All employees work with a variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. The exact pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities(This is a representative list and not all-inclusive; other duties may be assigned as needed.)
- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and follow procedures to protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and loan security.
- Administer store processes, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store systems, and enterprise-level reporting.
- Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
- Communicate clearly with employees about the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
- The Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting) per applicable laws.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
