• As a Food Service Representative, provide a well-stocked, well-maintained department and superior customer service. Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product daily while maintaining department and food safety/sanitation standards.
• Handle customer interactions, take orders by telephone or in person, answer product questions, and assist with selections.
• Maintain all department-specific duties for Bakery, Deli, Prepared Foods, and other areas as assigned, including record-keeping and basic setup/cleanup tasks.
• Operate and maintain equipment properly; follow H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards; adhere to department/store operating procedures.
• Assist in inventory management processes and ensure catering orders are prepared and ready for customer pickup when applicable.

• Minimum age 18
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of Company Orientation and food safety/sanitation training upon hire
• Knowledge of computer systems and equipment (e.g., PC, scales, label machines) is preferred
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read and write and to plan, organize, and work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs regularly and manage items heavier than 65 lbs with assistance as needed; occasional to frequent lifting and carrying may be required
• Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, and other movement necessary to perform responsibilities
• Ability to work in varied conditions (wet, cold, hot, and noisy environments)
