Full-Time Retail Sales Associate

We are currently looking for the right Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and much more. This is a representative list of the general duties the position may be asked to perform; other duties may be assigned as needed.

• $10.75 to $13.00 per hour with commission structure that pays for every transaction processed. Additionally, the retail associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.26 per hour on top of the hourly rate.
• The ability to earn unlimited commission above your hourly base rate.

• The best working hours in the business. Most stores open at 9AM and close at 6PM; many stores are closed on Sundays.

• Vacation: 1 week after six months of active, full-time service; additional 1 week after 1 year; 2 weeks on each anniversary thereafter; 120 hours after five years. Sick/Premium time: 8 hours after 6 months, 16 hours each anniversary years 2-5, 24 hours after five years (subject to state/local requirements).

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, and to provide customer service on both lending and retail sides. The position involves working with a wide variety of merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. The successful candidate will be paid hourly plus commission based on productivity, with final pay determined by location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and offer appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures and maintain a clean, stocked sales floor with merchandise displays.
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items per policies and procedures.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards; communicate the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Collaborate with coworkers and managers to create a positive customer experience.
• Complete required training and perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, etc.), in accordance with applicable laws.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• Minimum age 18;
  High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; basic math; cash handling experience preferred.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems; ability to work at multiple locations as needed.
• Must be able to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
