Description

We are currently looking for the right full‑time Retail Sales Associate to join our team. Compensation is $11.00 to $14.00 per hour, plus an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. By working in a pawn store environment we offer opportunities to earn up to 8% in commission on sales and loans, averaging an additional $1.02 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

Entry‑level, full‑time sales associate in pawn store locations nationwide. Partners with the store staff to provide customer service on both lending and retail sides. Greets, engages, and assists customers with sales, loans, and other transactions. Works with jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

Responsibilities
  • Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions.
  • Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
  • Maintains clean, stocked sales floor and displays.
  • Completes sales and loan transactions per established policies and regulations.
  • Handles all cash and negotiable items securely.
  • Answers incoming calls per company standards.
  • Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers.
  • Partners with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
  • Successfully completes assigned training.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willing and able to perform extended duties (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting) in accordance with law.
  • Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
  • May assist customers on exterior property or retrieve items from exterior storage.
  • Minimum age 18 years.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to work with people and be team‑oriented.
  • Ability to multi‑task in fast‑paced environment.
  • Basic math proficiency.
  • Preferred cash handling experience.
  • Work in multiple locations as business needs.
  • Flexible retail schedule: weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate, able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
Commission Plan Information

The commission incentive plan is proprietary. Pawnbrokers can earn 2%–8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Details discussed during interview.
