Maintains acceptable store conditions according to Company standards. Engages with customers, bags and transports groceries, locates products and conducts price verifications. Performs various customer service duties while maintaining a safe and sanitary shopping environment.

• Ensures groceries are bagged properly by grouping like items, limiting bag weight, preventing cross-contamination, and ensuring customer receipt of all purchased items.
• Collects shopping carts and stores them in the cart corral. Keeps parking lot free of trash and debris; communicates with management any incidents, actions, or concerns.
• Ensures front-end racks, drink coolers and cleaning supply stations are stocked, cleaned, and presentable.
• Promotes product sales through active customer engagement.
• Takes precaution when handling objects to avoid damage to products and property.
• Performs cleaning duties in breakrooms/restrooms and faces products to maintain proper store conditions.
• Maintains a friendly, customer-service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with bagging and transporting groceries to customers’ vehicles.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures and policies.

• Ability to remain courteous with customers at all times.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and partners (written and verbal).
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Attention to potential hazards and the ability to address or warn about hazards promptly.
• Ability to report hazards that cannot be remedied immediately to a supervisor.

• Typically involves on-the-job training.
• Minimum of 16 years of age required.
• Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with policy.

• Close, distance, and depth vision; ability to focus.
• Ability to stand or walk continuously.
• Ability to talk and hear continuously.
• Frequent use of hands for reaching, touching or handling.
• Frequent lifting up to 40 lbs; occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to bend, kneel or squat.
• Attendance at work is required.
