Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at check out for customers, striving for at least five items per bag while ensuring contents are not damaged.
• Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascarts for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts for return.
• Clean spills, pick up trash inside the store and parking lot, and maintain all areas inside and outside the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise, understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and notifying management.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions about products.
• Follow all applicable laws and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
• Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Retail experience preferred but not required.
