Join our team at Horseshoe Bay Resort as an Employee Cafeteria Attendant, responsible for limited food production and full service in our employee cafeteria. Duties include preparing the cafeteria for service, stocking supplies, and maintaining high standards of sanitation, safety, and cleanliness. Ideal candidates are dependable, team-oriented, and committed to providing excellent service to fellow associates.
Essential Job Functions- Set up the cafeteria for service, including the following:
- Stock all self-service areas with proper equipment and food items
- Maintain proper standards of sanitation and physical appearance of cafeteria
- Obtain food supplies from Food Storeroom
- Obtain food from appropriate Kitchen personnel
- Obtain needed paper supplies from Controllable Storeroom
- Obtain par stock of china, glassware, and flatware for food service
- Serve hotel associates during meal breaks, using proper portions and proper sized utensils as specified in Use Records.
- Hold taste panels as required.
- Maintain standards of food sanitation and food quality.
- Maintain standards of sanitation during meal periods (remove trash and dirty dishes, clean up spills, empty garbage, clean grill, etc.).
- Operate cash register or other machine, to ensure associates are charged correctly for food items purchased.
- Each associate is expected to carry out, within their capabilities, all reasonable requests by management.
- High School Diploma or GED helpful, but not required.
- Ability to verbally communicate effectively with guests and co-workers.
- Maintain proper associate uniform standards and footwear which is slip and oil resistant, enclosed toe and heel.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Requires problem solving abilities.
- Maintain a clean, safe and environmentally responsible work environment.
- Must be able to interact with co-workers and have a sense of TEAM.
