Responsibilities
  • Quality Assurance owns the processes and tools by which the client identifies, contains, eliminates, and prevents non-conformances.
  • Quality is charged with defining and maintaining the processes and tools that prove product capabilities meet requirements and result in a predictably economical and reliable product.
  • The client Quality Specialist is responsible for inspection and acceptance of qualification, flight hardware, and software products.
  • Verifying that all key performance and design characteristics are met before launch, Quality Specialists play a critical role in ensuring mission success.
  • Develop and execute detailed inspection programs (Zeiss Calypso) which assure adherence to design, specification, and testing requirements - ensuring that all actions needed for product acceptance are conducted accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform inspections on launch vehicle/spacecraft components and sub-assemblies using advanced metrology equipment to evaluate product (Zeiss CMM).
  • Maintain tool control and calibration processes within assigned work center - including validation of metrology systems.
  • Participate in technical operations and offer guidance, and serve as an additional technical resource.
  • Initiate and execute plans to improve product quality and inspection efficiency.
  • Apply 5S workplace organization & follow the Lean initiatives.
  • Support manufacturing compliance with customer and internal specifications to meet contractual and mission requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $95K - $118K / Year.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week.

Length: Direct Hire.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Zeiss Calypso Software programming.
  • Minimum 4 years of hands‑on experience in an aerospace, military, or manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in standards and equivalent quality, military, or government standards in the aerospace industry.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate Degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to read technical information, follow technical instructions, and understand technical drawings, specifications, GD&T, and related quality control documentation and standards.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Flexibility regarding workflow and process.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Willingness to work with a team, share expertise, and follow instructions to accomplish established goals.
  • Software experience in PC‑DMIS or Inspire.
  • ASME Y14.5 Professional or Technologist certification.
  • Demonstrated experience applying quality assurance principles, methods, and processes – including inspection techniques, equipment, and tools used in quality control.
  • Comprehensive understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, and specifications.
  • Demonstrated experience with the application of aerospace quality standards, such as AS9100 or ISO 9001.
