The Registered Nurse II, under general supervision, provides direct preventative clinical services, assessing the health status of individuals, families, and populations, and provides nursing case management and health education as necessary.
Responsibilities- Monitor and assess the health status of individuals, families, and populations; define a care plan; and provide nurse case management and health education in areas such as Family Planning, Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Tuberculosis, Women, Infants and Children, Immunizations, Adult Health and General Child Health.
- Collaborate with other professionals in health care management, offering in‑services to community partners to provide health promotion and education.
- Provide direction or guidance to non‑licensed personnel in assigned areas of responsibility to ensure quality care.
- Assess health status of individuals, families and communities; develop plans and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
- Evaluate and determine health resources necessary to meet individual, family and community health needs.
- Deliver professional nursing care in assigned unit, clinic, home, or other setting.
- Educate individuals, families, communities and members of the health care team about disease prevention and health promotion.
- Delegate tasks safely to others within scope, consistent with the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
- Ensure quality health care through record review, peer review, direct observation and assessment of outcomes.
- Perform specialized nursing functions as educationally prepared.
- Being present in the office is an essential function of this job.

- Work effectively in a team environment, participating and assisting peers.
• Possession of a valid Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or a Registered Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) and one year of professional nursing experience, OR
• A Bachelor’s in Nursing and possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a Registered Nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or a Registered Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
