Job Summary:
New Hope Manor, a compassionate and professional skilled nursing facility in Austin, TX, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Development/QA Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for teaching, training, and conducting in-services to promote excellence in staff development and patient care. Responsibilities:
Teach and train staff on various topics, including infection control and quality assurance
Conduct in-services to promote continuing education and skill development
Participate in the facility's immunization program
Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement staff development programs
Provide guidance and support to nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care
Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them
Maintain accurate records and reports related to staff development and quality assurance
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience working in long-term care facilities
Current license in good standing with the State of Texas (or other compact state)
Pass a criminal background check
Friendly and positive demeanor
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent computer skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality patient care and promoting a positive work environment
