As a casual Certified Nurse Midwife with Allin, you will step into a dynamic hospital-based environment, providing compassionate, evidence-based care to patients in labor and delivery settings. You’ll collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and support staff at our Abbott and United Mother Baby Centers.

The Mother Baby Center at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, in partnership with Children’s Minnesota, offers a state‑of‑the‑art environment for labor, delivery, and postpartum care. Designed with families in mind, the center provides a safe, comfortable, and supportive experience throughout the birthing journey, ensuring exceptional care for both mother and baby.

Principle Responsibilities

• CNM group independently provides labor support, water birth and VBAC/TOLAC services
• Midwifery collaborative support is provided by a supportive in‑house OB and maternal‑fetal medicine groups
• We attend approximately 40‑50 births per month with three affiliated clinics
• "Natural birth experience" highlighting non‑traditional care in the hospital
• Follows standards for Nurse Midwifery Practice established by the American College of Nurse‑Midwives and Minnesota statute
• Professional liability insurance including tail coverage

• Bachelor’s degree Graduate from Accredited School of Nursing required
• Master’s degree or doctoral in nursing or related field preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire
• BLS Tier 1 – Basic Life Support required within 180 days
• AMCB American Midwifery Certification Board upon hire required

Medium Work:
Lifting weight up to 32 lbs occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs frequently.

Flat Rate: $70.00 per hour. This position is paid on a standard non‑negotiable hourly rate. Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
