Welder/Fabricator
Company: Pride Staff
Location: Wharton, TX
Pay Rate: $18/hr
Shift/Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Welder/Fabricator to join our team in Wharton, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for MIG welding and fabricating metal components and structures according to blueprints and specifications. This position requires a strong understanding of MIG welding techniques, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding on various metal components and structures.
- Fabricate and assemble metal parts and structures based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- Operate and maintain welding and fabrication equipment, such as saws, grinders, drills, and shears.
- Inspect and test welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
- Measure and cut materials accurately to prepare for welding and fabrication.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to welding and fabrication.
- Recent welding experience and/or a welding certificate from an accredited institution.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Familiarity with MIG welding techniques and equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- 5+ years of experience as a Welder/Fabricator.
- Experience with different types of metals and alloys.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
