In this role, you will be responsible for leading/directing railcar production for Service Center Finishing Department. Accountable for leadership of skilled labor employees including all aspects of safety, quality, production and cost. Ensures the highest quality work in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible.

Responsibilities

* Plans, organizes and supervises shift production in accordance with priority goals and availability of resources to ensure adequate and timely completed repairs. Performs in process quality audits.

* Communicates work area status/activities to the Production Manager(s). Communicates with other work areas to facilitate smooth car flow.

* Uses technical experience, expertise and problem solving ability to achieve and maintain a quality repair. Maintains an effective work force by training, counseling and motivating agreement workers.

* Ensure that all necessary administrative work is complete and accurate.

Qualifications

Education and/or

Experience:

* High school diploma or equivalent required

* 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience in a fast-paced production environment, preferably with 2-4 years mechanical finishing experience

* Previous supervisory experience preferred.

* Basic computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

As of the post date, the salary range for this position is:

Min

USD $68,600.00/Yr.

Max

USD $81,000.00/Yr.

This role may be eligible to participate in the Company's short-term incentive plan, the details of which will be provided to the applicant upon hire.

This range is a reasonable estimate and takes into account several factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, geographic location, skill set, experience, education, training, internal equity, and other business needs.
