Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Powder Coating & Paint Technician to join our production team. This role is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing metal products to meet high-quality standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in clean, consistent finishes and understands that surface preparation and process control determine long-term durability.

Responsibilities- Prepare metal surfaces for coating (cleaning, sanding, blasting, masking).
- Apply powder coating using electrostatic spray equipment.
- Apply liquid paint finishes when required.
- Ensure proper curing times and oven temperature settings.
- Inspect finished products for defects, thickness consistency, and overall quality.
- Maintain paint booth and powder equipment in clean working order.
- Monitor inventory of powders, paints, and supplies.
- Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines, including proper PPE usage.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials in and out of the paint area.
- Maintain organized work area and document completed jobs as required.
- Perform quality control checks as required before, during, and after the coating process.
- 1–3 years experience in powder coating or industrial painting preferred.
- Knowledge of surface prep techniques and coating processes.
- Ability to operate spray guns and related equipment.
- Ability to read work orders and follow specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Experience with sandblasting or media blasting equipment.
- Knowledge of coating thickness measurement tools (mil gauge).
- Understanding of curing cycles and oven operations.
- Prolonged standing in shop environment.
- Exposure to dust, heat, fumes, and noise (PPE provided).
- Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching.
