Position: 3rd Shift Assembler I Brackets/Valve Assembly
Location: Stanton

Assembler 1 Sentry Sub Assembly Bracket Shift: 9:30 p.m. – 5:30 AM M-F/ OT as needed Rate of Pay: $21.36

JOB

Working under supervision of the Brackets supervisor and planner, the Brackets/Gas Valves Assembler works from blueprints, work instructions and production orders to properly assemble, test, and package various types of brackets and gas valves. Responsible for set-up, operating, and maintaining all equipment associated with bracket and gas valve assembly. This position requires associates placed in the position to successfully complete specific training.

These training requirements can be located on the Marinette Operations Training Matrix. The company reserves the right to rotate employees to other departments or work assignments within the organization as needed based upon skill set, production needs, etc.

DUTIES
  • Verifies correct parts are available for production order. Inspects raw and WIP parts for manufacturing defects, paint defects and proper fit.
  • Sets-up rivet machine and other equipment to appropriate parameters.
  • Tests gas valve to proper specifications.
  • Attends to proper storage of components in assembly area (restocking parts, removing boxes and pallets, etc.)
  • Clean and organize area at end of shift to proper 5‑S standards.
  • Supporting the training and development of peers within the organization.
  • Performs miscellaneous related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 18 years of age and have a HS Diploma or equivalent. Must be able to read and interpret prints, work instructions and production orders. Must have basic math skills and have a mechanical aptitude. Must be able to learn how to use tools and machinery required in the areas. Must maintain testing records. Must be able to fill out daily time card, including production counts and orders.

Report any scrap on scrap tickets and discrepancy reports. Lifting of parts and assemblies and components up to 50 lbs. required. Repetitive assembly motions will be required.

  • Ask questions if something isn’t known
  • Report all accidents and injuries immediately
  • Submit suggestions to improve safety
  • Know responsibilities in the event of an emergency (i.e. what to do in the event of an alarm for fire, chemical spills, tornados, etc.)
  • Be a coach to others who are acting unsafely
  • Must have Lock-out tags after 6 months
  • Attend and participate in all hazardous and non-hazardous waste trainings.
  • Ability to recognize chemical hazardous labels.
  • Spill management and clean-up.
  • Air shutoff locations.
  • Capability to follow satellite accumulation rules and requirements.
  • Proficiency to recognize hazardous wastes in your area and manage properly.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE
: $21.36 - $26.21 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
