Position:Feed Mill Maintenance/Utility
This entry-level role involves maintaining and operating equipment for poultry feed manufacturing. The individual will operate the batching system, handle inventory procedures, and manage ingredient receiving.
Responsibilities- Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Dismantle machines, move machinery and equipment.
- Get trained as a mill operator.
- Assemble and install equipment such as shafts, conveyors, and pelleting machinery.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment.
- Clean, lubricate, and repair shafts, bearings, and machinery parts.
- Perform welding, adjustments, and component replacements on milling equipment.
- Complete repairs promptly.
- Conduct inspections as required.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- One to two years of related experience or training required.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions.
- Apply common sense to carry out instructions.
- Valid Driver's License required.
Must meet physical demands such as standing, handling, talking, occasional walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
