Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and hands‑on ERP Implementation & Operations Coordinator to lead the rollout of a new ERP system within our foundry operations. This role will work closely with production, quality, and management teams to ensure the ERP system is successfully implemented, accurately reflects shop‑floor processes, and supports weekly production scheduling and material quality tracking.
In addition to ERP implementation, this role will be responsible for coordinating quality checks related to material testing and assisting with weekly work scheduling to ensure smooth, efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities ERP Implementation & Data Management- Lead and support the implementation of a new ERP system tailored to foundry operations
- Map existing production, testing, and inventory workflows into the ERP system
- Ensure accurate setup of bills of materials, routings, test bar tracking, and work orders
- Act as the primary liaison between ERP vendors, IT support, and internal teams
- Train production, quality, and administrative staff on ERP usage and best practices
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements using ERP data
- Coordinate and verify quality checks related to material testing (chemical, mechanical, and physical properties)
- Ensure material test results are properly recorded, traceable, and compliant with internal and customer requirements
- Assist with tracking test bars, certifications, and quality documentation within the ERP system
- Support audits and internal quality reviews as needed
- Develop and maintain weekly production schedules based on capacity, priorities, and customer commitments
- Coordinate with melt, molding, machining, and finishing departments to balance workload
- Monitor schedule adherence and adjust plans as needed to address issues or delays
- Use ERP‑generated data to support planning, reporting, and continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, foundry operations, or ERP implementation
- Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (manufacturing or metal casting environment strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with material testing processes and quality control in a foundry or heavy manufacturing setting
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across departments
- Experience implementing or leading an ERP rollout from selection through go‑live
- Foundry‑specific knowledge (melting, casting, machining, metallurgy, test bars)
- Experience with ISO, ASTM, or customer‑driven quality requirements
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis
