We are seeking candidates for Apprenticeship opportunities at our Seadrift, TX facility within the U.S. Apprenticeship Program. The program lasts 2–3 years and combines hands-on work in a chemical plant with attending community college to earn a company-paid Associate’s degree. Apprentices receive paid tuition, wages and some benefits. Upon successful completion, they earn an Associate’s Degree in a technical discipline and may be considered for a full-time role.
Selected applicants will sign an offer letter committing to two years of employment with Dow after accepting a full-time position.
Hourly pay: at least $25.38 per hour. The exact rate will be communicated if an offer is extended and is non-negotiable. Expected hire date is June 8, 2026, with a latest possible date of August 3, 2026.
ResponsibilitiesApprenticeship opportunities are available in the following fields:
- Process Technician
- Laboratory Technician
Process Technician
Operate equipment in assigned plant areas and perform related operations per the work process. Use chemical manufacturing knowledge to operate and troubleshoot the plant safely and efficiently.
Laboratory Technician
Follow Environmental Health & Safety and Quality System procedures. Process samples, perform basic calibration and maintenance of analytical systems. Perform routine analyses, evaluate data validity, compare to limits and take appropriate action.
QualificationsEducational Requirements
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
- If currently enrolled in HS or college or have graduated or earned a GED within the last two years, provide official transcripts/GED scores prior to onsite interviews.
- If enrolled in a related degree program or with transferable credits, have no less than 2 full semesters remaining toward the degree.
- After an offer, must complete college entrance exams/assessments at the community college to be attended. No remedial coursework required.
- Preferred: minimum GPA of 2.50 on a 4.00 scale if currently enrolled or recently graduated.
Additional Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older on start date.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license or ability to obtain prior to start;
Motor Vehicle Records check required. - Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays; overtime as needed.
- No visa sponsorship for this U.S.
-based position.

Must meet physical demands with or without reasonable accommodations:
- Lift up to 50 pounds; operate hoses, flanges and valves; clearance/isolation of equipment.
- Climb ladders/stairs and work at heights; work in confined spaces.
- Wear PPE, including harnesses up to 300 lbs total weight capacity.
- Work at elevated heights and be willing to train on safety equipment as needed.
