Maintenance Generalist MG; Operators 1st Shift​/Center, TX

Overview

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. You must be able to set up, adjust and break down production line machinery. The role requires knowledge in welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics and other maintenance related areas. You must learn Tyson SAP software to create work orders, fill out the daily documentation required, perform preventative maintenance routines as scheduled by Supervisor, and confirm time in the SAP system to record daily activities and create equipment history.

You must be able to read and write where required, communicate with management and co-workers as needed, process paperwork necessary to position, and use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. You must be willing to lift, push, pull up to 70 lbs, climb stairs and ladders daily, work in cold environments with temperatures ranging from
-10 to 80 degrees in the production area, and work in conditions that reflect weather outside (rain, heat, cold, insects), wet conditions, slippery floors, concrete floors, and noise loud enough to require hearing protection. You must be willing to work on your feet for 8 to 12 hours and complete all required training for the job.

Maintenance MG01: 6 months of industrial maintenance experience is preferred.

180 days wait period from last termination date.

3X rule (candidates cannot have worked for Tyson 3X before).
