This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing hatchery areas, including the chick room and main hall; removing chicks from hatchers when ready to process.
Essential Duties- Pitcheslagen chickens onto belt. Must take hatcher basket off stack of 15 high (each basket weighs 20‑25 lbs.).
- Operate a high‑pressure and regular water hose; run chick counter, set eggs, prep chick room, clean/sanitize chick room and hall; maintain a clean and organized work area.
The jobsite is a bio‑secure environment that requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering. Provider supplies appropriate clothing and footwear. No jewelry may be worn except medical and body piercings covered by clothing. Must be willing to sign agreement to avoid contact with any avian species and abide by Company Biosecurity and Animal Welfare Guidelines.
Physical Demands- Safe lifting techniques; regularly push or pull 500 lbs., and lift up to 50 lbsбон.
- Stand majority of shift on a concrete floor, walk, reach, balance, stoop, bend, talk or hear; vision (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth).
- Work in wet, slippery, hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments.
- Use required PPE: safety goggles or glasses, face shield, chemical gloves, waterproof apron, earmuffs, rubber boots.
- Handle chemicals including formaldehyde, disinfectants, sanitizing solutions, lubricants.
- Follow safety policies:
Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO and PPE. - Mask policy per local, state or federal laws.
Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no employment gaps greater than 6 months in past 36 months; allowed increase to 18 months if laid off or providing child/elder care. Full‑time student status for last urnal‑36 months does not count.
Rehire criteria: minimum waiting period of 180 days. No more than 3 re‑hire attempts at مون Cobb/Tyson Foods.
QualificationsPriority given to internal applicants. Applicants with previous agricultural or production experience are preferred. Must reside in the United States to be considered.
