The Welder position responsibilities include fitting, joining, and repairing metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques in accordance with product specifications and production schedules.

• Working hours are general 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., but may be adjusted as needed to meet production needs
• Perform welding duties using a TIG welder
• Use welding equipment to weld steel components as specified by layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions
• Work with others to assist in the welding of multi‑component parts
• Operate forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the jobs needs
• Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet product specifications
• Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings, and/or work orders
• Willingness to cross‑train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position
• Communicate with management for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues
• Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventive maintenance functions on equipment. Suggest and implement improvements
• Complete all required safety procedures prior to and during operations

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in an effective way
• Ability to read a tape measure and caliper
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids
• Demonstrated competency in basic shop math, including fraction‑to‑decimal conversion skills
• Commitment to quality and accuracy of work performed
• Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change

• Excellent attendance

• Lift, carry, push and/or pull heavy weight
• Squat, kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward
• Stand and walk for 1-12 hours per day for up to 6 days a week
• Work in a non‑temperature controlled environment
• Work in a fast‑paced industrial environment wearing vision and hearing protection and other appropriate protective clothing
