Job Overview
Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company operating in 12 states with over 3,000 employees. The company is seeking an Overnight Equipment Operator for Vega, Texas. The successful candidate will complete a variety of labor and operation tasks in the quarry and crushing plant, including general plant labor, clean‑up of production areas, and assistance with plant operations.
Responsibilities- Operate various pieces of equipment as needed – such as a bobcat, skid steer, haul truck, dozer, and track hoe.
- Assist with plant clean‑up and operations and be trained in various production positions to fill in as needed during vacations, absences, and increased production demand times.
- Run dust‑control water truck on roadways.
- Report equipment problems to management and help maintain quarry and equipment.
- Complete daily inspections and, if applicable, equipment pre‑shift report.
- Assist other workers as needed or directed and perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
- Experience operating heavy equipment – bobcat, skid steer, and haul truck.
- Self‑motivated and able to perform required duties without constant supervision.
- Ability to learn quickly and understand basic safety and work instructions.
- Must be willing to work weekends and overtime as necessary.
- Must pass pre‑employment drug screen.
