• Manage all aspects of the Quality and Shipping Departments, overseeing mix changes and scheduling.
• Collaborate with customers to resolve cement quality or delivery issues and maintain contact with Sales & Technical personnel.
• Approve mill tests and certification letters; coordinate with state DOTs and federal agencies to certify lab procedures and equipment.
• Investigate and report on employee or equipment accidents, promoting safe practices and good housekeeping.
• Maintain knowledge of collective bargaining agreements, plant policies, and promote cost and profit consciousness.
• Compile the annual Quality department budget, monitor expenditures, and assist the Maintenance Manager with lab budgeting.

• B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience in an industrial environment.
• Preferable cement chemistry and process knowledge.
• Proficiency in chemistry and plant operations.
• Strong technical background with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to accuracy.
• Good organization, human relations, and decision‑making abilities.
• Strong computer skills.
