Extrusion Technician

Pipeline Plastics, LLC is seeking an Extrusion Technician to perform and maintain daily activities associated with a production line. This includes housekeeping, safety, quality, production efficiencies, repair and maintenance, and minimizing downtime.

• Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain a safe working record and environment
• Complete shift production and reporting paperwork
• Immediately communicate unsafe conditions, acts or injuries to Production Supervisor
• Meet quality specifications for all products produced
• Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment as needed
• Troubleshoot process and mechanical problems and perform repairs and adjustments to meet production needs as required
• Practice proper forklift operation and preventive maintenance
• Maintain ability to operate various production lines and processes effectively
• Maintain facility housekeeping
• Adhere to PLP product sampling schedule
• Maintain and build job skills through company training programs
• Meet or exceed standard production efficiencies on all production lines
• Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality, certification requirements
• Perform tooling changeovers efficiently
• Require regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisor
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent, desired
• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilities
• Ability to operate heavy machinery
• Analytical thinking and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within a manufacturing environment
• Self‑motivated and dependable
• Punctual with good attendance
• Previous manufacturing machine operation or extrusion experience (preferred)

• Ability to repeatedly lift 75 pounds to a height of 6 feet
• Perform repetitive motion such as walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, gripping, and standing
• Ability to stand and be mobile for a minimum of 12 continuous hours
• Ability to work in temperature extremes
• Clarity of vision and ability to focus on a fast, repetitive operation
