Overview
Club at Cordillera Summit is seeking an Assistant Superintendent! Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on delivering exceptional service.
Summary: The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent to manage all aspects of the golf course and facility grounds. This will include, but is not limited to, crew management, leading monthly safety meetings, pesticide/fertilizer applications, irrigation repair, drainage installation, daily course setup, and building maintenance.
Pay: $70,000 - $82,000
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill- 1-3 years turf grass management experience required
- Supervisory experience required
- A four-year college degree preferred
- GCSAA Member or apprentice preferred
- Knowledge of budgeting and expense management
- Must possess basic computer skills – Word and Excel
- Must have a strong business aptitude and passion for the golf business
- Must be highly organized and efficient with close attention to detail
- Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Supervises and trains foremen, irrigation technicians, and other employees in the maintenance department
- Prepares weekly schedules for foreman, irrigation staff, and other employees in the maintenance department
- Monitors inventory of all maintenance equipment and the use of the equipment, the preventative maintenance schedule, and safety training
- Works closely with the Superintendent in managing the annual budget and maintenance recordkeeping
- Works closely with the Superintendent in preparing short-term and long-term agronomic strategies for the maintenance of the golf course, including daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly fertilization, irrigation, etc. schedules
- Calibrates and operates pesticide sprayers
- Institute and implement all Troon Human Resources guidelines
- Assists the Superintendent in informing members about present and future maintenance activities
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
