The Role
The Construction Manager is responsible for managing a wide range of functions necessary to obtain and successfully execute construction projects. They ensure a high quality of service in all dealings with customers, clients, subcontractors, and company employees. This role includes the management and maintenance of all operating systems and processes used to manage the construction lifecycle.
Primary Responsibilities- Customer & Client
Experience:
Manage the overall customer and insurance carrier experience to ensure total satisfaction. - Project Acquisition:
Evaluate and sell projects, develop detailed scopes of work, and create/review estimates. - Negotiation:
Negotiate project scope and estimate approvals with customers and/or clients while setting clear expectations. - Operations Management:
Schedule in-house technicians, subcontractors, and material suppliers; create and maintain project timelines; and coordinate the execution of services. - Quality & Compliance:
Conduct quality assurance activities, resolve issues, and ensure all work complies with plans, local codes, and requirements. - Administrative & Financial:
Manage project budgets and expenses, and oversee documentation, payments, and relevant forms, partnering with the office team. - Personnel & Assets:
Recruit, train, and manage construction personnel; identify and qualify subcontractors; and manage company equipment and materials. - Safe Work Practices:
Follow and oversee safety practices and adherence to safety and risk management guidelines. - Other duties as required.
- Experience in restoration and/or restoration construction preferred
- Experience with construction estimating required
- High school diploma/GED required; college degree preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; relevant math skills
- Basic computer skills including Word and Excel;
