Day & Zimmermann is currently accepting resumes for our Nuclear Site Manager in Wadsworth, TX.

The Site Manager is responsible for the successful execution of all contract obligations and/or labor agreements at assigned site. They ensure that all work is performed in a safe and productive manner and in accordance with the quality standards of both the customer and D&Z and serves as the principal contact to the customer for day-to-day operational issues and business development opportunities.

This role effectively manages relationships with local labor officials and/or client key stakeholders. He or she is responsible for maintaining internal and external industry knowledge and best practices through continuous learning and development.

• Responsible for the overall safety of staff and craft employees at assigned site. Accountable for implementing and evaluating the site safety plan and the Safety Conscious Work Environment (SCWE) program.
• Under supervision, directs, delegates, and executes work through others at site safely, within budget, and in accordance with terms of contract. Has a strong understanding of labor management.
• Under supervision, follows the basic financial reporting structure and provides input for contracts and negotiating revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements, while maintaining and gaining respect of Customer.
• Oversees orientation and development of onsite staff and craft employees, including employee relations, human performance and productivity, performance management and employment management in conjunction with supervisor.
• Identifies and develops talent with input from supervisor; recommends changes in assignments.
• Maintains effective labor relationships and participates in the tripartite process (as applicable).

• Ability to communicate effectively with Customer, site staff and craft employees.
• Ability to build/sustain a strong bench strength in support of promoting a healthy succession planning.
• Working knowledge of site operations, labor management and contractual obligations.
• Ability to delegate, supervise, and evaluate work assigned to subordinates, specifically in a matrix organization.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to manage financial measures and recognize business development opportunities.
• Promote a risk sensitive organization with sensitivity at recognizing the importance of Identification, mitigation and elimination of risk to the public, personnel and the plant.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field preferred
• A minimum of 5 years in the nuclear power industry preferred.
• Preferred candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in management for Day & Zimmermann.
• Completion of Journeyman Program and/or Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience Required
• PMP Preferred

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is

$91,000- $206,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of union fringes).

This will be a temporary assignment and company benefits will not be available. This position is eligible for The Day & Zimmermann Retirement Plan for Contract Employees.
