Maypearl has 1220 students and 189 employees serving grades pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. The district covers 84 square miles in Ellis County, located 40 miles south of Dallas. The district is expecting growth over the next few years that will provide for continued expansion and opportunities.

Maypearl Independent School District seeks an innovative, student-driven leader for the position of Superintendent of Schools, beginning March 30, 2026.

Job Requirements:

• Master's Degree in educational administration from an accredited college or university
• Valid Superintendent Certificate
• School administration experience in a public school district, including having served as a principal.

Board of Trustees Expectations for the New Superintendent:

• Experience in school leadership, preferably as a Superintendent
• Demonstrates strong character by being transparent and taking ownership of actions.
• Highly involved and maintains a steady presence, effectively communicating with others.
• Exhibits fairness and consistency in decision-making and interactions.
• Remains steady during crisis, showcasing a proactive rather than reactive approach.
• Empowers others and leads the effort to develop comprehensive planning for growth
