Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution. A two (2) year degree in engineering (mechanical or electrical) or related fields is preferred. Prior experience of 2-5 years in a heavy industrial environment maintenance supervisory role.

• Proficient with reading blueprints and schematics.
• Computer skills including knowledge of spreadsheets, databases and word processing software.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to identify problems that arise and implement corrective measures.
• Optimize Maintenance Costs – Identify and implement cost-saving strategies while maintaining operational efficiency.
• Enhance Equipment Reliability – Develop and oversee a predictive maintenance program to prevent unplanned downtime.
• Lead Corrective Maintenance Projects – Plan, coordinate, and supervise assigned projects to ensure timely and effective resolution.
• Manage Shutdown Repairs – Strategically plan and execute critical repairs during scheduled shutdowns.
• Oversee Capital Projects – Ensure the successful completion of capital improvement initiatives, from planning to execution.
