Maintenance Supervisor

Join Our Team as a Maintenance Supervisor at Fairfield Nursing and Rehabilitation.

We’re seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations, ensure facility safety, and maintain compliance in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.

• Lead maintenance operations: hire, train, and supervise maintenance team members.
• Promote safety and compliance: conduct and document fire system inspections and coordinate monthly fire drills.
• Oversee preventive maintenance: develop and implement a preventive maintenance program.
• Maintain equipment: inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, boilers, water systems, laundry equipment, and generators.
• Manage supplies and budget: order maintenance supplies and equipment while adhering to budget guidelines.
• Supervise contractors: oversee and coordinate work by external contractors.
• Maintain standards: ensure the facility and its equipment are safe, operational, and compliant with all regulations.
• Train staff: provide job‑specific training and promote adherence to safety procedures.
• Coordinate schedules: plan department staffing according to census needs and labor budgets.

• Facility maintenance experience in healthcare or long‑term care (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, boiler, water, and emergency systems.
• Experience implementing and managing a preventive maintenance program.
• Demonstrated strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage supply ordering and departmental budgeting.
• HVAC experience preferred but not required.
