As you inspire people to make confident, informed decisions about their lives, careers, and money, you’ll build client relationships that will grow stronger every year. Joining us as a Team Leader
, you’ll provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office. You’ll serve as the front-line manager to provide leadership and development of tax office associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving all office related growth objectives. We’ll help you advance your knowledge and skills you’ll need to excel with us as you serve as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates.
- Provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office
- Lead and develop tax office associates to deliver an outstanding client experience and achieve office growth objectives
- Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans, develop local partnerships, and manage office community involvement
- Assist in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions
- Serve as the point of contact for onsite escalated client service concerns and scheduling
- Plan daily activities to ensure work is completed on time with quality standards
- Coach and train associates to uphold Service Standards and recognize contributions
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information
- Manage associate work schedules, timekeeping, and overtime
- Prepare tax returns as required and conduct timely performance reviews
- Prior experience in customer service, shift leadership, or similar roles; experience supervising or managing people
- 2+ years as a Tax Professional (if preparing tax returns)
- Annual continuing education and ability to meet IRS and applicable state requirements
- Computer proficiency with MS Office
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexible work schedule and ability to adapt to business needs
- High school diploma or equivalent or higher
- Collaborate with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans
- Support recruitment and interviewing for tax office roles
- Provide escalation support and ensure proper client scheduling
- Foster an engaging team environment with training and coaching
- Lead daily team meetings and ensure timely completion of tasks
- Maintain accurate timekeeping and overtime management
- Deliver quality work and meet deadlines
