Location: Waller
The Facilities Technician 3 leads and performs facility maintenance duties at assigned facilities. Provides guidance, instruction, and direction to facilities technicians. Utilizes specialized skills based upon education, professional licenses, or certifications to ensure proper operation/maintenance of site wide facilities. Responsible for task assignments and ensuring proper tools and equipment are utilized to complete assignments. Advises facilities supervisor/manager of any issues pertaining to operation of infrastructure.
Responds to facilities issues in a professional and timely manner, assists with all aspects of facility maintenance.
Position Responsibilities:
• Provides guidance to junior team members, instruction, and direction to facilities technicians.
• Leads team and performs facility maintenance duties
• Respond to maintenance issues - reactive maintenance
• Maintain accurate and complete departmental records
• Assist management in scheduling facility projects
• Evaluate, maintain and modify facility related maintenance issues to resolve potential interruption of service
• Perform preventive, predictive and proactive maintenance
• Coordination of task assignments during and between shift changes
• Maintain the company's inventory of general hardware, supplies, tools, and parts for facilities equipment
• Manage the ordering process of supplies of parts for routine maintenance and special repairs on facilities equipment
• Perform repairs/maintenance of facilities equipment
• Assist as needed with in-field repairs and maintenance
• Maintain accurate service records on infrastructure
• Leads development an overall preventative maintenance program for site wide facilities. Goal is to minimize downtime of equipment by catching issues prior to major breakdowns
• Perform duties safely, effectively and efficiently while maintaining a safe and clean work environment which complies with procedures, rules and regulations

• Oversees a group of employees and ensures job is done correctly

• Guides team at task level to ensure company goals are met
• Is recognized as an expert in own area within a department
• Provides mentoring and training for new employees
Knowledge and
Skills:
• Experienced working in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Ability to lead and provide guidance to Jr team members
• Proficient in basic construction, wiring, plumbing, basic electrical maintenance, equipment maintenance, HVAC systems, pneumatics and technical work
• Ability to use various tools and equipment
• Proficient Troubleshooting skills
• Proficient Core mechanical skills
• Skilled in Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
• Excellent Good communication skills - verbal and written
• Ability to read and or understand written and verbal policy, instructions and directions in English
• Knowledgeable of department-specific functions
• Ability to safely operate industrial equipment; lift trucks / pickers; in house training and certification required
Experience:
• 5 plus years of industrial facility maintenance experience required.
Education:
• Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Associate's degree in mechanical field or graduation from a trade school preferred. Journeyman, or Masters License preferred.
