Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Inspect equipment periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
• Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work.
• Recruit, supervise and train maintenance technicians.
• Supervise and train technicians.
• Interview, hire and supervise tradesmen during repairs or maintenance work (electricians, mechanics, etc.).
• Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.).
• Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance.
• Monitor inventory of materials and equipment.
• Participate in coordination of projects.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
• Be a facilitator of culture change.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager with development of entire maintenance team.

• Proven experience as maintenance supervisor or similar role for at least 5 years, preferably 8-10 years.
• Technical associate's degree Preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of all types of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations.
• Understanding of budgeting and performance management.
• Proficient in developing best practices.
• Data driven.
• Analytical.
• Excellent planning and leadership abilities.
• An eye for detail.
• Computer savvy with experience in Microsoft Office, CMMS.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional Certifications (e.g. CMRP) are preferred.
