Overview
Family Health Centers at NYU Langone is a designated Level 3 Medical Home and the largest federally qualified health center network in New York State. It includes eight primary care sites, 40 school-based health centers and dental clinics, four day care centers, the nation’s largest dental residency program, and New York State’s largest behavioral health program. The network also provides care through 12 community medicine sites, comprehensive HIV services, chemical dependency programs, and a family support center offering educational, vocational, and social support programs.

Position SummaryWe have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Porter - FT, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–1:00 PM and 4:00 PM–7:00 PM. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Program Supervisor of the Center within Sunset Park Health Council, DOHMH, DOE, CACFP, and NAEYC / Quality Stars New York policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities- Ensure all sidewalks, front and back, and playgrounds are clean daily.
- Water all plants as needed.
- Empty all diaper pails as needed.
- Clean office desks and classroom surfaces/countertops with bleach solution daily.
- Clean windows and doors weekly.
- Disinfect all adult and children toilets and clean mirrors and water sinks in the bathrooms daily.
- Empty all garbage in the offices, classrooms, kitchen, bathrooms, and outside areas daily.
- Replace garbage bags for all garbage cans in the offices, classrooms, kitchen, bathrooms, and playgrounds daily.
- Refill soap for all soap dispensers in the classrooms and bathrooms as needed.
- Sweep and mop all classrooms, offices, hallways, bathrooms, and kitchen daily.
- Vacuum all carpets in the offices and classrooms daily and wash them as needed.
- Refill paper towels, tissue, and toilet paper for classrooms and bathrooms as needed.
- Clean all water toys with bleach solution and fill water tables with water for all classrooms as needed.
- Replace all bad lights with new ones as needed.
- Ensure the center is clean and well-kept at all times.
- Order household supplies as needed.
- Complete the maintenance logbook daily.
- Organize the household supply closets and outdoor sheds as needed.
- Other work responsibilities may be added as needed and required.
- To qualify you must have the ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Two years related work experience in childcare and a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $31,866.64 – $34,368.77 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
